The National Board has established a National Council Session Advisory Team (NCSAT) for the 2023-2026 triennium.
The NCSAT will:
- Together with the National Board, consider what governance and the democratic process mean and how they are applied across the Movement.
- Together with the National Board, consider actionable feedback from the 56th National Council Session (July 2023) to share with the appropriate stakeholders.
- Provide specific recommendations to the National Board on an agenda for NCS 57. Responsibilities include partnership with the National Board Office, National Board, etc. for delegate formula recommendation, delegate education, advising MGAT and National Board on respective assessments as well as incorporating MGAT recommendations into efforts.
- Membership: Selection criteria will also be based on the following:
- Representation from small, medium and large councils.
- Experience as an “administrative level” volunteer preferred.
- Experience in policymaking or policy-influencing desired.
- Only one representative per council will be selected.
- Be accountable to the National Board, through the National Board Governance Group.
