Session

A session of an assembly, unless otherwise defined by the bylaws or governing rules of a particular organization or body, that consists of a meeting or series of connected meetings devoted to a single order of business, program, agenda, or announced purpose, in which—when there is more than one meeting—each succeeding meeting is scheduled with a view to continuing business at the point where it was left off at the previous meeting. For example, the regular session Of the National Council is held every three years, and consists of a series of meetings that are devoted to discussion and debate related to the overall improvement of Girl Scouting, the election of the National Board of Directors and National Board Development Committee, and amendments to the Constitution of Girl Scouts of the U.S.A.
