Come join us on Monday, October 19th at 8:30pm EDT one last time before the National Council Session! This Town Hall will give you the opportunity to share your thoughts about any of the six proposals on the agenda for the National Council Session in a reasonably open, unstructured format. You may:
- Speak for or against proposals made by the National Board and/or amendments to those proposals.
- Tell us about amendments your council may be discussing (we would be happy to have slides to screen share for these if you send the information in advance).
- Give your thoughts on any amendments you or we have heard about.
- Ask questions to clarify your understanding of proposals or processes that will be used at the National Council Session.
- Express your opinions on issues periodically via anonymous polling.
This Town Hall is also your last chance to “check in” via Zoom with Girl Scouts from other councils and hear their questions, concerns, and opinions prior to the actual National Council Session debates. Although we haven’t finalized our ground rules for this Town Hall, we expect the ground rules to be similar to our first three: speakers will queue up by typing their names into the chat; there will be a 2-minute limit for each time an individual speaks; and individuals will be limited to the number of times they can speak as long as there are others who haven’t yet had an opportunity to share their thoughts.
You do not have to have attended any of the previous three Town Halls to participate.
Please use this Google form to register: https://forms.gle/tqetMDNbYeAc4VhW8
You’ll receive a confirmation once registered, but the meeting link and a final copy of our ground rules won’t be sent out until about 2 hours prior to the meeting. The email with the meeting link will come from admin@girlscoutgovernance.com. If you register less than 2 hours before the meeting, you risk not receiving a meeting link, so don’t delay!
If you have any questions, please contact us at admin@girlscoutgovernance.com, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can!
